The remaining Third Thursday cocktail socials have been cancelled. With the upcoming holidays, we expect very low turnout. Keep watching this space for upcoming events, though.
This year, we were very happy to be able to offer almost all of our events at low or no cost to members. If you have ideas for things to do next year, submit ideas as a comment.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We are members of the International Slow Food Movement living near the Sacramento Delta and in the shadow of Mt. Diablo. We believe in the sustainability of our local food system and honor our agricultural heritage.

Lesley Stiles and Stephanie Jacob have been implementing school garden projects since 2005 and currently run gardening, cooking and nutritional educations programs at College Park High School, Diablo Community Day School and the Bridge Transition Program, working with special needs and at risk youth. None of the gardens would have been possible without years of dedicated support from Kaiser Permanente. Other partners have included the College Park PTSA, Pleasant Hill Community Foundation, Allied Waste Inc., Analon Cookware, Orchard Nursery, and Slow Food Delta Diablo. In these challenging economic times, we are seeking new ways to fund these important programs.
Slow Food Delta Diablo is a 501 ( c ) 3 nonprofit organization.
The charitable donation value is $45.
